1st Class Legal (I.S.) Ltd is the UK's primary specialist provider of Litigation Funding and After the Event (ATE) insurance. These fund the case and protect you from costs you are ordered to pay if the case is not successful.

We have provided ATE insurance, litigation funding and case funding to SME's, multi-national companies and for individuals, trustees, insolvency practitioners, company directors and many others.

Each case put to us for funding and/or ATE insurance is reviewed by our experienced internal Legal Underwriters and only cases with good prospects of success are accepted. If you believe that your case has such prospects then we will review the case in complete confidence and give you our views.

Legal case funding and litigation funding is not only for those who cannot afford to take the case forward without funding it also applies to companies and others who wish to make best use of and protect the assets and funds they have. Our system also allows cases with smaller potential values to be funded and is very competitive for the large, multi-million pound cases.

We do not use a Contingency Fee based on a percentage of the award obtained - a set funding fee and simple interest is charged - in most cases this will be much cheaper for the client than the use of a contingency fee that often ranges from 25% to 40% (or more) of the award obtained. The client is fully protected should the case fail.
